Here are some photos from week 2 of PNDP. The assignment was to shoot dawn and write six sentences about it. Of course, it rained all week, so everyone’s dawn pictures were pretty dingy.
At six in the morning, the sky is just barely beginning to lighten to a pearly gray, but work has already started. Early commuters filter onto 93. Schoolchildren are already waiting for the bus. Contractors and construction workers carry their tools on the narrow sidewalk beside Mystic, high-visibility jackets sealed against cold autumn rain. Some stop for breakfast on the way. Dunkin Donuts is always open, but on this street there’s a Brazilian bakery with a flat-screen TV and a cashier who knows their names and orders.
