COVID-19 Self-Quarantine Photos, Week 2

COVID-19 Self-Quarantine Photos, Week 2

Here’s what I saw and did during my 2nd week of social distancing/quarantine/whatever you’d like to call it. My family and I are all doing well and staying in the house except for grocery and TP runs, walks around the neighborhood, and to hang out on the back patio.

My bed and one of my bookshelves. I set out to alphabetize my books a few days ago, and although I have still not alphabetized any books, I have moved several pieces of furniture, ordered a dresser online, and moved lots of non-book items around. It’s all part of eventually getting to alphabetization, really, I’m just taking a particularly thorough and roundabout organizational route.
The sequin fabric I have tacked over my bedroom door. The trim and doors in my bedroom are painted some questionable colors I chose when I was 12, so I’ve covered many of them up.
Paperclips. I was using these to hold together slips of paper I’d used as an outlining scheme for my novel when I started editing it in 2019. I just got some timeline-making software and was digitizing the outline, hence paperclips.
The remnants of my lunch. I’ve taken to eating in my room when I want some privacy.
A pedestrian passing a gas station in Lexington. I took this out my car window while on my weekly Saturday Scream drive.
The un-branded front of my car. The insignia fell off some time in its life before it got to me. I kind of like it better this way.
Periwinkles in the front yard.
Dried-out hydrangeas in the side yard.
Soap. I figured if I’m not doing a lot of my normal photography work, I might as well make some images I can sell as stock photos. And I’m sure images of soap are relevant right now.
All this soap is from Cambridge Naturals in Porter Square.
Dry, peeling patches on my hand from frequent washing.
The ‘junk bin’ part of my organizational process, through the hand mirror that hangs on a hook attached to my desk.
