It’s been a while!

I haven’t really been shooting professionally since I got a full-time job in 2020. After a second spinal surgery about a year ago, I haven’t been shooting for fun much either.

But I recently inherited a SLR from my grandfather. I signed up for a darkroom class in March so I can learn to shoot and develop my own film. The class is for black and white film. Except for the hole-themed project I did in college, I haven’t done much black and white photography. So I’ve been a) trying to get back into the habit of shooting for fun and b) trying to shoot for black and white. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far.

A gas station at night

A retro McDonald's at night

A retro McDonald's at night

A sunny home office cluttered with plants and books

A modular origami flower ball lit by red light

A doorknob lit by golden afternoon light, casting a long shadow

A doorknob casting a long shadow in black and white

A shower curtain and yellow towel in a bathroom on a golden afternoon
