Last June I went to San Juan on a stipend from VII Photo Agency to do a documentary photography project about disability in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. You can see/read the project elsewhere on my website. Here are some non-project photos I took while I was there, either on adventures alone or hanging out with the other students from Program for Narrative and Documentary Practice who were there with me doing their own projects.

Signs of destruction from the hurricane — San Juan was mostly rebuilt by the time we got there a year after the hurricane, but there were still some buildings destroyed by Maria and remaining infrastructural problems
