Another from the archive — Sarabande’s fall 2018 show. I shot that show a few months after I had back surgery and was still pretty early in my recovery. I felt uncertain about saying yes to taking photos of a dance show, because I knew it would require a lot of hurrying back and forth…
I shot not one but two events last Saturday! It was exhausting and I may have gotten a tiny bit sunburned, but they were awesome events and it was good to get so much practice. Here are some photos from the second event. They ran in the Somerville Journal if you want to see them there.
This was the last dance show I shot at Tufts before graduating! It was a bittersweet moment for me and I imagine it felt that way for the dancers who were graduating too. What a great last show. P.S. The dance group Wuzee are in the second image. I’ve shot for them before too.
Here’s another show from last year, in a performance style I had never imagined myself photographing: pantomime. Yes, Tufts has a mime troupe, and they booked me to photograph their spring 2018 show. Here’s what I witnessed.
Here are some shots from last year’s Femme Show, “More is More.” The Femme Show is always a blast to photograph: by turns fun, raunchy, and thought-provoking. Sadly, I won’t be there this year, but you should get tickets if you’re going to be in the Boston area at the end of May!

I don’t have much new work to show yet, but I have tons of work I did before my injury to share. Here’s some: photos of a show by Tufts’ Chinese fusion dance group, Wuzee, from March 2018. A local Chinese youth dance troupe performed too.
Here’s another play I photographed for Pen, Paint, and Pretzels. You can see some other plays I photographed for them here. “Red,” a play about Mark Rothko which only has 2 characters, was these actors’ last play at Tufts.
