I shot not one but two events last Saturday! It was exhausting and I may have gotten a tiny bit sunburned, but they were awesome events and it was good to get so much practice. Here are some photos from the second event. They ran in the Somerville Journal if you want to see them there.
I covered the annual Independence Day fireworks at Trum Field for the Somerville Journal last night. The evening was chaotic, and I'm not exactly proud of the United States right now, but the fireworks sure did look pretty. And it was good to finally do some press photography after a long stretch of mostly food …
This was the last dance show I shot at Tufts before graduating! It was a bittersweet moment for me and I imagine it felt that way for the dancers who were graduating too. What a great last show. P.S. The dance group Wuzee are in the second image. I've shot for them before too.
Here's another show from last year, in a performance style I had never imagined myself photographing: pantomime. Yes, Tufts has a mime troupe, and they booked me to photograph their spring 2018 show. Here's what I witnessed.

Here's another play I photographed for Pen, Paint, and Pretzels. You can see some other plays I photographed for them here. "Red," a play about Mark Rothko which only has 2 characters, was these actors' last play at Tufts.
Frankie Francois, a Boston-area film, commercial, and voiceover actress, did some voice acting for my thesis film "What Stays Inside" in exchange for some portraits. Drop her a line if you need someone for your project. She's super friendly and easy to work with!
Towards the end of the fall semester, Tufts Dining always has holiday-themed dinners. The desserts are to die for. Also, I've noticed that I always, always photograph the wrong end of asparagus.
Tufts dance troupe Spirit of the Creative had me shoot their show this fall. I'm scheduled to shoot their spring show in a couple of weeks. Check out their dance moves and great energy! My favorite part of shooting dance (and some sports, depending on the players' appearances) is the way hair looks at a …
