COVID-19 Self-Quarantine Photos, Week 9

I don’t have much to say this week. I’ve still been cooking dinner for my family and my sister’s girlfriend every few nights, trying to create objects in physical space, and doing video calls with friends and Casey. But overall I’ve been barely functional. I had a back flare on Friday that I’m only now feeling back to normal from. The flare was nothing to worry about, but still upsetting given my spinal history and the fact that getting healthcare is particularly complicated at present.

I’m also grappling with questions about my career, my identity, and my responsibilities to my community and the world, but I don’t feel like talking about that online right now. Instead, here are pictures of what I was looking at this week.

Disco objects in the papier-mache phase.
Disco objects in the modeling compound phase.
The pothos vine my mom propagated for me from the plant we have in the living room.
The raised bed, which my sister and her girlfriend have weeded and planted with vegetable plants and sunflower seeds.
The ceiling again.
A disco cone, or “discone.”
I’m not sure what you call a cuboid with a dip on one side, but that’s what this is. I was aiming for a saddle shape, but fell short.
A disco donut.
This amazing container from the Container Store, which is full of the few toys I’ve held onto from childhood.
