Arlington is all about placing large carved stones around to commemorate various events and people, mostly related to war. The majority of them are for the Revolutionary War, but the big column in this picture is in honor of Union soldiers from Arlington who fought in the American Civil War. My senior honors thesis class, for a reason neither the students nor the professor can fathom, is in the building that houses the Tufts Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development — in the same room my sports videography internship with the IARYD held trainings in summer 2016. Very weird.
