Hashtag throwback Thursday, I guess? I’m so behind on sharing older work, but I still want to share it. There’s some good stuff in there! Surprisingly, this isn’t the last SoC show I shot, even though I’d already graduated. I don’t photograph dance as often, but when I do, I’m always impressed by dancers’ physical abilities….
Back in August, I did production design, makeup, and behind the scenes photography for Joshua Gray and Ben Hosking’s short film ‘Better Off.’ It was a long, sweaty, buggy shoot in the armpit of New Hampshire, but we powered through and I think the final product is going to be great.
Over winter break, I spent a week at WBUR interviewing and shadowing different people at the station. Here are some photos behind the scenes at On Point with Ray Suarez.
Three photo-a-days in one: my trip to Martha’s Vineyard with Casey and Jason! We stayed in Casey’s grandparents’ lodge, had a very belated birthday dinner for Casey, saw a movie, went to the beach… I got eaten alive by mosquitoes but it was a nice break from routine otherwise.
My mom maintains a number of bird feeders, which attract the local wildlife. We get a lot of squirrels, but also a lot of dark-eyed juncos and house sparrows. The juncos are the gray-and-dun ones who look like a half-dipped Easter egg, and the house sparrows are varying shades of brown. On the flashier end…
It’s disheartening to fully apprehend just how alone you are in your body, how alone you are in your head. You already know you’re alone, but you don’t really believe it until you experience it in such an extreme way.
