I did production design for a short film my friend and colleague Ben Hosking wrote with actor Josh Grey. Part of that involved formulating some fake blood to stain some bandages. I came up with some pretty convincing stuff. The recipe, if you’re interested, is red food coloring with just a touch of blue, glycerin, and corn starch. It coagulates a lot like real blood, so it’s great for scabs and clots.

Here’s what I saw and did during my 2nd week of social distancing/quarantine/whatever you’d like to call it. My family and I are all doing well and staying in the house except for grocery and TP runs, walks around the neighborhood, and to hang out on the back patio.
