In 2017, Tufts Student Accessibility Services put out a call for filmmaking students to make a documentary about artists with disabilities at Tufts. Filmmaker Benjamin Hosking and I interviewed School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts students about their experiences with art and disability. Here’s the result. The documentary has since screened at several disability conferences and is being shown in classes and trainings in the greater Boston area.

Event: Environmental Film Festival VIP Reception and “Wasted!” Documentary Screening
The DC-based Environmental Film Festival (peep their cute logo!) had a Boston satellite screening of Anthony Bourdain’s documentary “Wasted! The Story of Food Waste” at the Kendall Landmark Theater and a VIP reception at the Dante Aligheri Society, and I had the privilege of photographing the reception, audience, and after-screening panel discussion. TTII Production of [Title of Show]
Tufts Torn Ticket II (the musical theater subset of 3Ps) put on “[title of show]”, an extremely meta musical, for first-year orientation. I shot the dress rehearsal. It got pretty silly.
Behind the Scenes of ‘Better Off’
Back in August, I did production design, makeup, and behind the scenes photography for Joshua Gray and Ben Hosking’s short film ‘Better Off.’ It was a long, sweaty, buggy shoot in the armpit of New Hampshire, but we powered through and I think the final product is going to be great.
Matt and Conor
Around this time last year, the Daily was gearing up for its commencement issue. Here’s a photo I took for that, of Conor Coleman and Matt Zinner, two soccer players who were both in the same graduating class I was. There’s something I really like about a wide-angle lens for sportraits, though I’m not sure…
Living Independently After Maria
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 15.3% of Puerto Rico residents under 65 have a disability, a rate higher than anywhere on the mainland. About a third of those people, it reports, have trouble with basic tasks like bathing and dressing. And Puerto Rico’s disabled population was especially vulnerable to the havoc wrought by Hurricane…
Event: TUDS Thanksgiving Dinner
Here’s yet another set of photos from a Tufts Dining event. I find it’s difficult to keep event photos from looking same-y after a while — even though the decorations and food are different for every event, after a while you start to learn the angles and light in the dining centers so well that…
